We need your help with our family preservation project!
We all have an interest in preserving our family history. Although we collected funds for our family cemetery at this past year’s reunion, we still need a more viable plan for its upkeep.
We would like to start being more proactive than reactive in the maintenance and upgrade efforts of the family cemetery so it will be preserved for current and future generations to come.
It costs approximately $1800/year to maintain the cemetery. This amount does not include addressing any possible damage from storms or upgrades that we may wish to complete.
Therefore, the Jones Family Cemetery Committee is requesting that we set the goal to reserve a minimum of two years of maintenance and potential storm damage/upgrades each year for a total of $4320 that would be dedicated to the cemetery fund. To meet this goal, we are asking each branch of our family to donate a minimum of $720 / year. You are more than welcome to donate more.
Please contact other members in your branch so they may have the opportunity to contribute to this preservation project.
Below are the active branches of the family that have attended at least one of the past five reunions:
- General Jones
- Alex Jones Jr.
- Collier Jones
- Peter Jones
- Robert Jones
- Eliza Jane Jones

Many changes have been made since our last reunion in 2019. We have a decorative sign and fence which has an 1860 antique cross made in France. We continue to pay someone monthly to make sure it is landscaped. We have gotten positive feedback from family members that have visited the cemetery recently in burying a loved one. They were really proud of the enhancements. |
